I built this because trailer-related accidents are a real global problem. In the US alone, more than 50,000 incidents every year are caused by hitch failures or improper locking. Many of these accidents could be prevented simply by using safer, better-engineered systems. That’s why I created the GMC Smart Hitch Coupling (Type 3000 – B50-X). It has a double-locking safety system, a zero-friction mechanism, no metal wear, and requires no maintenance.
