As someone with ADHD, I’ve struggled with hyperfixation spending and the infamous ‘ADHD tax’—the late fees, impulse buys, missed payments, and financial hiccups that seem to come out of nowhere. It’s been a frustrating cycle, and I knew there had to be a better way.
Coming from a tech background, where I worked on mental health apps and financial tools, I saw an opportunity to combine these worlds to address the unique financial challenges faced by people like me.
That’s how The Alchemist was born—a platform designed to help people improve their relationship with money by focusing on behavioural change and emotional resilience, with a special focus on those of us who face unique challenges like ADHD.
