Hey PH 👋 I'm Bill, solo founder shipping Tendera. I've been running it for two months now. The premise: chat with AI characters who feel like written people, not configurable templates. Four hand-written characters (Sophia, Mia, Elena, Jade) each with a backstory and a voice. Persistent memory. Free 5-message preview, no signup required. I built it as an answer to the three things I didn't like about the AI character category: → Character.AI: millions of shallow community characters, no curation → Candy AI: pick body + scenario, AI performs your config (a fantasy machine, not a person) → Nomi: build your companion from scratch over months None of these match meeting someone written by someone who cared who they were. Today's launch: the create-and-share part is now first-class. Every public character gets a clean URL like tendera.chat/c/ that anyone can open and chat with — no signup needed for the first 5 messages. The creator owns the share loop, not an algorithm-driven discovery feed. Where I'm at: ~50 registered users, two months in. Retention is OK. Acquisition is the bottleneck — solo founder, no audience, no budget. This launch is partly my best shot at compound growth via creator distribution.
