TeddyReads Feedback thread
Hi everyone, I’m Ben, the maker of TeddyReads.
TeddyReads makes personalised picture books starring your child. You chat with Teddy about what the book is for, add a photo, pick a sidekick and an art style, and get a 22-page illustrated story. You can have it read aloud in your own voice, or order a printed copy.
My goal was to make something genuinely good, not more AI slop. So every book is checked before it’s ready, you can thumbs-down any picture and tell Teddy what’s wrong so he redraws it, and you can change the text, fonts and style before it prints. At the end there’s a Slop-o-meter where you tell Teddy how he did.
I’d love your honest feedback, especially:
Did your child look like themselves in the pictures?
Was anything confusing while making the book?
If you picked “Total slop” on the Slop-o-meter, what went wrong?
What would make you want a printed copy?
Your first book is free at teddyreads.com. Thanks for trying it!
