Teammates by Associates AI - Managed AI agents that actually run your business workflows

by
Most AI tools make you do the work. Fill in a prompt, get output, copy-paste it somewhere. That's not automation. Teammates are custom AI agents deployed into your existing tools (Slack, Telegram, email) that run workflows independently. Prospect research, inbox triage, customer follow-ups, scheduling, reporting. Every client gets a custom build. Not a template. Not a chatbot. Fully managed so you never touch the tech.

Hey Product Hunt! I'm Mike, co-founder and CTO at Associates AI. Quick backstory: I run a few family businesses on the side of my day job as a staff engineer. My wife and her sister run a mobile food truck. I run an IoT SaaS company. There was never enough time or people to handle everything that needed doing. So I started building AI agents on OpenClaw to handle the stuff that was eating our days. Prospect research, email triage, customer follow-ups, scheduling, even code deployments. They run inside the tools we already use (Telegram, Slack, email) so that was extremely convenient. It worked ridiculously well. My IoT company now runs like it has a full team behind it. The food truck business stopped missing event follow-ups. We went from constantly behind to actually ahead. That's when my wife Heather and I decided to turn it into a service. We deploy and manage custom AI agents for other small businesses. Not templates, not chatbots. Custom systems built around how each business actually works. We handle everything: setup, maintenance, optimization. We're built on OpenClaw, which is open source and gives us full control over agent behavior, security, and integrations. Every agent runs on dedicated cloud infrastructure with read-only config, encrypted credentials, and full audit logging. We take the "don't break anything" part seriously. One thing that really matters to us: no vendor lock-in. Because OpenClaw is open source, we own the entire stack, and so do our clients. If a model provider raises prices or a better model drops tomorrow, we swap it in and nothing breaks. Our clients' agent configs, skills, and workflows are all portable. We're not trapped in anyone's ecosystem, and neither are our clients. In a space where every AI platform wants to lock you in, that's a huge deal. Would love to hear what you think, and happy to answer any questions about how it works under the hood.
