TapVid - Turn a link, a doc, or an idea into a motion video

Hey Product Hunt, I'm Demi, one of the makers of TapVid.

I run growth at TapVid, which means I'm the person who needs the video, not the person who can make it.

Every launch I'd write the brief, hand it off, wait, then ask for one small change and wait again.

Here's the thing that made us build this.

In every AI video tool I've used, changing the third caption means regenerating the whole clip, and what comes back is a different video.

The parts you liked are gone.

So you either accept a worse version or start over, and after two rounds of that you stop caring and ship whatever you have.

TapVid doesn't work that way.

Point at:

Say what's wrong with it, and only that changes.

Everything else stays exactly where it was.

You can do it forty times in a row.

Why?

TapVid isn't generating footage.

It builds designed motion graphics, so every element on screen is a real object with its own properties rather than a patch of pixels the model reconstructs each time.

Animated scenes.

Kinetic type.

Data visuals.

Closer to what a designer would build than to a rendered clip.

You can start from almost anything.

Paste a URL and TapVid reads the site and matches its style.

Drop in a PDF or an article and it builds the video from that.

Upload a video whose look you want and it follows that instead.

Or point it at what's already working.

TapVid can pull the videos performing well in your space and generate yours in that style, which is the closest thing I've found to knowing why something worked instead of just watching it work.
