Hi folks, Patrick here. As a founder, I'm on LinkedIn all the time sharing insights from my experiences and driving attention to our products. [ Here's a secret about LinkedIn's content algorithms ] Responding to post comments significantly boosts organic reach. You're leaving impressions on the table if you aren't engaging with comments on your LinkedIn posts. As somebody told me recently, "Never post and ghost" 💀 In addition, engaging in the comments on other posts is a great way to build relationships and generate a boost in attention - whether for personal branding / informal engagement groups, sales prospecting, or even recruiting campaigns. Add some comments on posts from other content creators in your niche with a large audience, and watch what it will do for your profile views and LinkedIn relationships. But .. writing personalized comments and replies can take a lot of time. I tried other AI browser extensions but they all sounded too mechanical. ChatGPT has developed a "tone" that - to me - is easy to detect as being AI-generated. So I built Tappy to generate more thoughtful, human-sounding, and LinkedIn-appropriate replies. The results are quite good - we used a 'personality flashing' technique in the GPT-4 prompt (instead of adding few-shot examples, we prompted with a personality for the style of response). And for some styles like 'Lets argue' we added a more unique technique where we're injecting outside relevant context into the prompt. It works surprisingly well. Check it out for free! (I hope the free tier supports most casual users, but for power users we also added a Product Hunt discount just for today!) Thank you for your support and feedback! -Patrick

Simple and powerful. Are tiers a bit high? Anyway, the basic-free plan is great for solos. Congrats and good growth!

@fmr thanks for the comment and feedback - I just added a Product Hunt discount for today We've found that the free tier is great for most casual users so far. For users who invest a lot of time into growing their personal brands on LinkedIn, we need to support dozens of comments per day (not just responding on other creators posts, but also writing personalized replies to comments on their own posts each day). That's why the paid tiers are so large Thanks again!!

How can the comments be thoughtful if they take no thought to create? 🤔
Patrick Martinchek
@chrismessina hi! - ack the word 'thoughtful' in our positioning has started fascinating discussions Two (human) threads: 1 - thoughtful for whom? the audience/reader or the creator/writer? as a reader i am energized by seeing thoughtful, creative, and insightful discussions 2 - if ai-generated text is the culmination of decades of human thought.. documented, trained, condensed, and regurgitated.. isn't that some of *the* most thoughtful content? (this may be a little grandiose, be nice :P)
