Tap - A Mac browser that keeps everything you open side by side.

by
Most browsers, even the new AI ones, are just tabs with a chat sidebar bolted on. Tap changes the model itself. Everything you open stays side by side on one canvas — you scroll across your work instead of switching tabs, so nothing's hidden. New pages, notes, contacts, or a search open with a right-click, right beside what you're doing. Its AI reads your open pages and notes, so you can ask across them with sources. It runs on your device — your content stays local. Free, macOS.

Hi Product Hunters, I built Tap because of one small thing I do hundreds of times a day without noticing: switching tabs. Every switch hides whatever I was just looking at. My work was always somewhere behind a tab I couldn't see, and I spent half my day hunting for things I already had open. So I stopped using tabs. Tap is a Mac browser built on one canvas. Everything you open — pages, notes, tools — stays side by side, in view. You scroll across your work instead of switching. When you need something new, you right-click and it opens right next to what you're doing: a page, a note, a contact, or a search across what you've saved. It also reads the pages and notes you have open, so you can ask across them and get answers with sources. The AI and voice input run on your device, so your content stays local. It's free, and Mac-only for now. It's early and I'm a solo maker, so I'd really like your honest reactions. One thing I'm curious about: use it for a few minutes, then go back to your old browser — does it feel different? I'd love to hear what clicks and what doesn't. Happy to answer anything in the comments today.
