Talkey is a voice keyboard for Windows. Hold the hotkey, speak, let go — your words land right where your cursor is, in any app: Slack, Gmail, VS Code, Claude Code, ChatGPT. It handles Mandarin mixed with English in the same sentence, including technical terms. And it learns: correct a word twice and Talkey remembers it from then on.

Hi PH, I built Talkey because I think faster than I type. Hold Ctrl+Win, talk, let go — the text is pasted where your cursor already is: Slack, Gmail, VS Code, Claude Code, ChatGPT, anything. It handles Mandarin mixed with English in the same sentence, which most dictation tools stumble on. The part I care about most: it learns. Fix a word twice and it stops making that mistake. Things to know up front: - Windows only for now (Mac is in the works). - Sign-in with Google is required. - Free during early access with a daily allowance. On the free tier, you agree at first sign-in that recordings and transcripts are kept (up to 2 years, deletable by you) to improve recognition. A paid tier that keeps nothing is planned. - The installer isn't code-signed yet, so Windows SmartScreen will warn — "More info" -> "Run anyway". I'd love to hear where it breaks for you, especially with your own accent and vocabulary.
