Talanoa 1.1.1: fixing the bugs that slipped through the 1.1 rebuild
Sorry about this one.
1.1 rebuilt everything behind the inbox. I spent hours testing it, and a few bugs still got through. Thanks to everyone who reported them so quickly. 1.1.1 is the repair, with a few small improvements along the way.
What changes for you:
- Gmail attachments of a few MB download again. They could stop halfway without a word. Now you get a spinner, and a failure tells you so.
- Deleting works on a new iCloud account. With no trash folder yet, a deleted email came back right after the undo toast. Talanoa now creates the folder on the first move.
- Folders created elsewhere, like iCloud's webmail, show up while Talanoa runs, with their mail.
- Ghost emails no longer stay in Talanoa's trash when the server's trash is empty.
- Spam stays out of Archive.
- Search in Japanese, Chinese and Korean finds a name or a word from its first character.
Smaller ones: Notifications lists every notification, undo brings an archived email back to Smart Inbox, arrow keys stay inside menus, Add label menus have a search field, the unified inbox stays open after a relaunch, and Block sender is readable in dark mode.
If you hit one of these bugs on 1.1, is it gone for you now, or is something still off?
