Hello everyone! πŸ‘‹ I would like to introduce you to a cloud-based data collection application. It helps you to collect spreadsheets from your colleagues or business partners quickly, immediately in the right format and without errors. πŸ’‘The idea for this application came up when I was working as a data scientist. I constantly had to work with a lot of data, either manually entered or imported from different programs. Most of them were in different formats, with errors, some of which could not be automatically found and eliminated. Fixing and finding errors was time-consuming, and the errors made analytics and forecasts less accurate. And this problem is constantly faced by managers, analysts and many other workers who work with data. πŸ“ˆ This application allows users to use a no-code constructor to create a template of the data they need to collect. They can set up automatic validation of incoming data, according to the task and give access to the people who will need to send this data. When the data is entered, the app will check it against the template, show where there are errors and suggest how to fix them. The output will be merged data that is fully compliant with the template and ready for further work. The strengths of the application are: βœ… Extensive capabilities for customizing automatic data validation, for example, such as adding restrictions on the values of one column depending on the values in another. πŸ” Flexible settings of access to the collected data. πŸŽ“ You do not need any special knowledge to work with the application. I will be glad to receive any feedback and advice. Also, it would be great to hear your stories and solutions if you've encountered similar problems.

@viacheslav_zhuravlev Congrats on the launch! I'm not a data scientist, so I may not understand the needs correctly. How is it different from collecting data through Google Forms and sending the data to Google Spreadsheets or directly editing one spreadsheet? Will one person add a lot of data? I think when a visitor tries to get approval, maybe that will be a barrier. I think the landing page will get even better if there's some section illustrating the difference between the old and new waysπŸ‘

@atsuhiro_teshima Hello, thank you so much for your support and detailed feedback! The main advantage of Tabliner is its wide functionality to check data, find errors and hints to fix them. With us, you can create flexible conditions for data entry. That is, conditions where the allowed values of one column will change depending on the values in other columns. This allows you to have full data validation capabilities without using code, just using our constructor. Also, Tabliner has more possibilities for data access. For example, in some tasks it may be necessary to limit the access of some users to the data of others or to allow them to modify only the rows for which they are responsible. How much data users will enter depends on your needs. You can limit the number of rows, you can allow them to enter as many rows as they want, it all depends on your task.

@viacheslav_zhuravlev Thanks for explaining the details. Flexible conditions and access limits sound like nice features.

Does it work with Google Sheets? I am exclusively a Google Workspace developer.

@kingromstar Hello, you can download your spreadsheets from Google Sheets as .xlsx or .csv files and import them into Tabliner. After processing or collecting data in our application, you can also export them in the same formats and open them in Google Sheets.
