This is pretty incredible technology that can significantly reduce costs of video production and localization. Great launch!
This is great. Is there a developer API? Would like to connect our audience to this.
How do we get a Trump Avatar?
Just received the video I created as a marketing statement, but the expression of the statements made by the bot does not fit the context at all. The AI needs to understand the context lot better, needs more training.
I just submitted your form to create an account, only to be told to wait for an invite. I then get an email to ask me to create an account again, this time asking for more personal details, there is a hint that I will have to pay, but nothing for sure, as your form asks for further personal details with a continue button. Not great user experience, as from my perspective, you are collecting as much data about me as you can, before I actually find out whether you are going to ask me to pay before I can do anything and what this is all going to cost me.
Congrats and team on a great product! As Cofounder of Demand Sage, which is "competing" with you today for Product Hunt, it's been fun getting to know your product and to see the enthusiasm around it. Good luck growing Synthesia into a great company!
Instead of modifying an existing video, would your technology create a totally new video if I just provide script of content? So the virtual lady will act and speak my script, right? Do you have referral plan that we would get commission if we promote your products?
Yes, you can create realistically-looking video just from text with Synthesia ;)
Signed up for the $30 plan will give it a spin and recommend to clients if I like it.
Is nobody worried that products like this will make creating propaganda so much easier?
Hey Shreyas, we take this kind of concerns very seriously and don't allow any custom avatars that don't have consent from the actual person. We've also published some ethical guidelines around this:
Really impressive stuff. I'm really interesting in following how this changes video production in customer service going forward. Making videos without booking a studio each time is definitely interesting.
