The current global compliance and sustainability environment is not built for purpose. The frameworks are prohibitively expensive for micro-small-medium businesses, yet voluntary standards are becoming unofficially mandatory, excluding new entrants before they even begin. This disconnected approach between governing bodies means valuable data is never reused and no prognostic capabilities are offered, forcing businesses to be purely reactive. Critically, with the source of most claims rarely verified, the entire ecosystem of trust is fragile, as has been shown with the high amount of Greenwashing claims. New tools/systems/methods need to be made available for businesses, not just Enterprises. That is the mission of Sustalium.
