Hi Product Hunt, SURFACE answers one question every week: is anyone finding your product, and what do AI assistants say instead? Answering it by hand means opening Search Console, PageSpeed, Trends, a few communities and four chatbots. SURFACE puts it in one desktop app. What it does: • Google Search: your own Search Console data (90-day first backfill, honest two-day lag) plus PageSpeed and Core Web Vitals. • Interest and community: Google Trends for buyer phrases; mentions on Hacker News and your own RSS/Atom feeds, with Reddit's public feeds if you turn them on. • AI visibility: it asks Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity the questions a buyer would type, with no system prompt, and records whether you're named, your rank in list answers, and which competitors appear instead. Perplexity also shows the pages it cited. • A Monday digest: last seven finalized days vs the seven before. How it's built: local SQLite database, keys in Credential Manager / Keychain, no account, no SURFACE server, no telemetry. Workspaces per brand or client with export/import. A command line for automation. Interface in 10 languages. Honest limits: Google setup is one-time work (Search Console, a Cloud project, OAuth client, PageSpeed key); AI calls are billed to your own keys; Mac is Apple Silicon only (macOS 15+). And it measures; it doesn't change what assistants say. The trial shows every page on sample data. I'd love to hear which signal you watch first.
