What parts of video editing should AI actually automate?

AI is getting very good at the mechanical side of working with video.

Transcribing. Searching. Finding clips. Organizing material. Building rough cuts.

But video editing isn't just mechanical work. A lot of the value comes from deciding what matters, what doesn't, and why a particular moment belongs in the story.

So I'm curious:

Where should AI stop?

What parts of your editing workflow would you happily hand over to AI, and what would you never want it to decide for you?
