The 1,451-pattern device recognition sounds impressive but I'd love to see custom fingerprint rules I can build and share with my team. Out-of-the-box coverage is great for unknown networks, but in our environment we have proprietary hardware that always shows up as "unknown device" no matter what tool we use. A rule editor where I can match on OUI, port signatures, or even custom HTTP probes would make this a long-term purchase instead of something I outgrow.
@haydarbz2y Thank you, Haydar
You've basically described where I want to take the classifier. Under the hood it already scores devices on OUI, open-port/service signatures, and HTTP banners, but right now those rules are hidden (the 1,451 patterns ship with the app). A rule editor where you define a match and it labels your proprietary gear is the natural next layer on top of that and honestly you are right, our rules shouldn't be trapping our users.
Also worth noting, for now you can manualy edit eny device our pattern recognition got wrong or hasnt recognized and it will stay as is even for future scans.
The device fingerprinting is impressively thorough, picked up my random IoT gadgets without me having to configure anything. Topology map renders smoothly even on a messy home network.
@aliercanlar Thank you for your kind words. I will continue to improve this app and its features so expect this and other features to get much better moving forward!
