Smart extension for Stripe. The identity verification market is massive and growing as more businesses and use cases go online.
Damn, Stripe itself made "Stripe for identities." Very excited to check it out.
This is very cool! Also validates needs for this in the web 3.0 space, which has long suggested the importance/value of distributed identity.
Wondering the same thing. Does Stripe have any plans to integrate with the web3 world?
I contacted them about a type of web3 app a while back and they said they could not support it becuase currently the policy does not allow onramping. That being said - im sure they are keeping a close eye on things and will support it in some fashion going forward, maybe when regulations around the space are cleared up? but I dont really know. not sure how connected they are with stellar - I believe that team is made up of some people from stripe, anyways, from what I understand, they dont support web3 right now - but they are always putting out the best products so hopefully!
Having used other alternatives (their APIs were _not_ Stripe-quality), I'm very excited about this!
Nice to have this under the same platform as Stripe
Great, this is an important feature
It’s quite intuitive to have the identification functionality with Stripe. They already do so much with payments!
Oh wow this is awesome. Much needed for sure! I'm curious, how did you land on the $1.50 per verification price point? That seems high to me, but maybe it's not.
That's a good point. On the other hand $1.50 seems very cheap for the value it would add to my service business.
Most competitors do around $2 per verification. But I've seen one company do as low as 0.39 EUR
Wow! My brother made a web app for simple tipping and selling digital content using stripe. This would have been incredibly useful due to the overwhelming amount of fraud in that space. He had to pull the plug on it because his days were consumed with handing claims, chargebacks, and fraud.
Sounds like a smart build on tool.
