StormFiles - Open files and office documents in your browser with ease

by

StormFiles is a browser extension that helps you to read the documents, such as Microsoft Word files, ODF, EPUB, images, fb2, etc., offline in your browser without any additional software.

Once the extension is installed you will be able to open your documents in StormFiles viewer.

You can view files from your local drive or by link.

Hey, PH-ers! "StormFiles" is a browser extension (now only Chrome and Firefox are supported) that I made out of my own need to have a way to quickly open local or external files in my browser. Very often I need to open quickly some file from the link in a browser, or local file, but not always I have preinstalled software as MS Office, OpenOffice, etc. Also, I didn't want to lose a focus on my work by switching between my browser and a file viewer. So I decided to create this extension :) Supported formats for now: - .docx, - .odt, - .epub, - .fb2, - .txt, - .csv, - .tsv, - .gif, - .jpeg, - .pjpeg, - .png, - .svg, - .ico Also, "StormFiles" perfectly works offline, it doesn't require any "cloud" service or server architecture. I hope this extension will help others to save time and be very productive in their workflow ;) Very excited to read suggestions, comments, feature requests :)
