Search boxes fail when shoppers don't know the keyword. What if search asked questions instead?
Most ecommerce search assumes you already know what to type, like "wireless charger 20w", and returns results. But most shoppers only know the need, like "a gift for someone who loves rakı" or "something under 300 TL for my wall."
We built Sterk Find, an AI co shopper for Shopify, around that gap. Instead of a dead end keyword search it runs a short guided conversation: who is it for? what's the budget? what style? It narrows the catalog live, showing honest trade offs between finalists, all rendered in the store's own theme.
Live proof: our first store integration went from 2,274 products to 249 after two questions. No dead ends.
Questions for the community:
1. When was the last time a search box failed you on a store?
2. Would you trust an AI that asks questions before recommending, or does it feel slower than typing?
We're launching on Product Hunt soon; happy to answer anything about how the funnel works.
