Hey Product Hunters!

We're excited to share StepFun Diligence Check with you today! This has been a passion project born from our daily frustration with information chaos online! Think of it as your personal fact-checking assistant. Just paste links, long texts, AI responses, and any content you find dubious. We'll verify it for you.

Here's what makes us different:

  • Multi-source verification: We don't just search — we check claims against multiple trusted sources for the most reliable fact-checking

  • Real-time analysis: Fresh information pulled from current sources, not yesterday's news

  • AI-powered validation: Multiple specialized agents work together to spot dubious sources, flawed logic, and missing context

We're not here to tell you what to believe. Instead, we give you the tools and evidence to cut through information overload and make informed decisions yourself.

🎯 Perfect For

  • Journalists who need quick source verification

  • Researchers tired of manual fact-checking

  • Anyone who wants to avoid misinformation

  • Teams building content that needs to be bulletproof

AuroraW

Love the idea of a tool that actually verifies content for real, not just grabs links. Feels especially relevant now with so much AI-generated info floating around. Big congrats on the launch!

Tommy Wang

@auroraw Really appreciate your support! Let's make the internet a more truthful place together 💪

Nika

I am testing it on the question I had last week and had to research because I was uncertain, and the internet was full of contradictory information (it took me ~30 minutes to get some conclusion)... I tried Stepfun and have it in less than 10 seconds :D My Substack newsletter will be written faster now.

Love that you thought about everything in advance (e.g. generating an image of the convo, sharing it via link or QR code).

I am attaching my generated screenshot.

Just out of curiosity, what made you choose Discord as the sign-in platform? :D :)

Tommy Wang

@busmark_w_nika Thanks for your support Nika! Considering everyone's preferences, we offer three login options: Discord login, Google login, and email registration/login. The Discord login option is included because we have a Discord community, which makes it easier for everyone to communicate, discuss, and provide feedback :)

Nika

@tomtomw Is that community available? I would like to have a look there :)

Nika

@tomtomw TY, gonna check it out! :)

Ghulam Abbas

This looks extremely robust, congratulations on the launch, and I wish you the very best of luck! 🚀
Do you have any examples or case studies to showcase its capabilities?

Tommy Wang

@abbas143official Hi Ghulam! Thanks for your support! Yes we do have some interesting cases to share, let me share the links:

M S Sulthan

@tomtomw You are welcome!

Cruise Chen

It seems indeed a very useful tool in age of Agentic product.... Just curious, how is the accuracy so far and what is the pass rate?

Tommy Wang

@cruise_chen Thanks for your attention!
We invited a group of human experts to compare several fact-checking agents, including GenSpark, Felo, GPT-o3, GPT-4o, and Gemini 2.5pro. In this evaluation, our StepFun Diligence Check achieved a pass rate over 60%, ranking first among all the tools. We're continuing to work on improving accuracy to make it even better!

Really appreciate the support!

Abdul Rehman

Just gave StepFun Diligence Check a try! I love the concept and how it tackles misinformation head-on. The multi-source verification is definitely something that sets it apart. The interface could be a bit more intuitive, especially when pasting longer texts. I found myself wondering if I did it right or if it was still processing.

Excellent work, team!

Tommy Wang

@abod_rehman Thank you for trying out StepFun Diligence Check and sharing such detailed feedback!

Making the processing status more intuitive and transparent is one of our highest-priority user-experience improvements, and it’s already on our near-term roadmap.

Stay tuned for our updates! ❤️

CaiCai

The official website design looks very comfortable, congratulations on the launch. But I'm very confused, is this recommendation of yours serious? "How to quickly marry a billionaire"

Tommy Wang

@hi_caicai Thanks for the support and feedback! You're absolutely right to point that out. It looks like we had a user-shared case displayed by default (users can share cases they find interesting), but that particular example doesn't reflect the right values we want to promote. We'll definitely adjust the visibility of that type of content. Really appreciate you bringing this to our attention!
