Hi Product Hunt, I'm Ziad. Before I book a hotel I skip the average (everything is 4.5+ now) and read only the 1–2 star reviews. One bad review doesn't tell me much, because maybe that guest just had a bad day. But if ten people complain about the same thing, I know it's true. Booking sites bury the bad reviews, so I made a connector that hands them to Claude.
Set it up once: in Claude, go to Settings > Connectors > Add custom connector, name it Staylist World, paste https://staylist.world/mcp and leave authentication empty. Then ask, for example, "What do the bad reviews of Hotel Mystays Asakusa say?" Claude gets the count (89 of its 941 reviews since October 2024 are 1–2 star) and the reviews themselves, and tells you what keeps coming up. For that hotel it's mostly cleanliness.
On ChatGPT (free plan works), it's one message: the page has a button that sends it, and ChatGPT remembers to check the bad reviews whenever you ask about a hotel.
It's free with no sign-up or API key. It also works in Claude Code and other MCP clients. It's part of my hotel comparison site: if you book through one of its hotel links I earn an affiliate commission, but you don't have to book anything to use it.
Limits: it shows what the review partner provides, coverage is thinner for small hotels and mainland China, and a hotel nobody has asked about yet takes a few seconds the first time.
Reply with a hotel you're considering and I'll tell you what its bad reviews say.
