SSOReady - Open source developer tools for enterprise single sign-on

by•
We make an open source API product that software developers can use to implement SAML single sign-on, which large companies often demand, in less than a day. (We also have a product that handles a directory sync protocol called SCIM.)

Hi! I'm Ned, cofounder at SSOReady. Would love to get feedback from any developers! How can we improve?

Great to see an open source solution for SAML! This can really streamline processes for developers. Curious to know more about how it integrates with existing systems. Thanks for sharing, @ned_oleary!

Hi @ned_oleary! This sounds intriguing—especially the promise of implementing SAML SSO in under a day. How does your API compare to existing solutions in terms of ease of integration and documentation? Are there any specific KPIs or success stories you can share? Also, curious if you have plans to support other protocols beyond SAML and SCIM in the future? Looking forward to hearing more!

@robertthomas2 Hey Robert! We're still an early-stage company and have a fair bit of polish left, but I'm not personally aware of any tools that I'd consider easier to implement. We're also excited to roll out some new features over the next few weeks that none of our competitors offer -- despite many more years and venture dollars than we have :) We work really hard on our documentation. It's a core part of our product, we think! We also generally provide our personal cell phone numbers to customers to make sure implementations go smoothly. As far as success stories and testimonials, you might find this customer story from this week illustrative: https://www.linkedin.com/posts/n... LOTS more coming soon!

Ned, implementing SAML SSO in under a day feels too good to be true, how does it actually stack up against giants like Okta and Auth0 in terms of speed and reliability, plus any real-world examples where it's proved itself, also what about considering OAuth 2.0 or OpenID Connect support next?

@balduino_sanches I hear "feels too good to be true" all the time! The software's as fast and reliable as any major player. We take a lot of pride in our performance -- as well as our security. Regarding real-world examples, I shared a testimonial in this thread above from an implementation that went live yesterday. This week we also ripped out a much more established incumbent (although I can't share more publicly). We also have a nice advantage over other vendors in our market; we're perfectly happy to help our customers self-host. This appeals to many large and security conscious organizations, and I've honestly been shocked at some of the logos that have come inbound to tinker with our product. OAuth / OIDC are very much on the roadmap.

Great work, @ned_oleary! An open source API for SAML SSO is a game changer for developers, especially with the growing demand from enterprise clients. Reducing implementation time to less than a day is impressive and could really streamline the onboarding process. I'm curious if you’ve considered adding comprehensive documentation or tutorials for new users? That could enhance the UX and traction significantly. Can’t wait to see how SSOReady evolves!

Hey Ned, great to see an open-source solution like this! SAML SSO in under a day is solid, especially for large companies. Any plans for a freemium model as well? That could really drive traction with devs looking for quick implementations!

This looks interesting, Ned! For developers, what kind of documentation or support do you provide for the SAML implementation? Is there a community forum for troubleshooting?

Hey Ned, this sounds really interesting! SAML single sign-on implementation can be quite a headache for many developers, especially with tight deadlines in larger organizations. I’m curious about the integration process—how seamless is it for existing systems? Also, do you have any metrics on time saved versus traditional methods? What about the SCIM product? Do you plan to offer a bundled solution with your SAML API? Could be a major time-saver for teams dealing with both tasks. Looking forward to hearing more about the potential user experience and the roadmap!

Great to see an open-source API tackling SAML SSO, Ned! This is definitely a hot topic in the B2B space, and many developers will appreciate the speed of implementation. Any plans to provide documentation or examples that showcase real-world use cases? Also, curious if you have any thoughts on integrating SCIM with your SSO solution? It could offer a seamless user experience! Looking forward to seeing how SSOReady evolves!
