SpotColor - SVG to CutContour PDF for vinyl cutters

Creating cutter-ready PDFs with a proper CutContour spot color can be surprisingly tedious, especially when starting from SVG designs. This service converts SVG files into vinyl-cutter-ready PDFs and automatically injects the correct CutContour spot color used by many cutting workflows. Instead of manual editing in Illustrator or complex export settings, users can upload an SVG and get a ready-to-cut PDF in seconds. A simple API also allows easy integration into automated workflows.

Hi everyone! I’m Johan, the maker behind this tool. I run a small engineering company and often build tools to remove annoying workflow steps — this one started as an internal utility and turned out useful enough to share. I like designing in Inkscape, but it doesn’t support CutContour spot colors, which many vinyl cutting workflows require. This service converts SVG designs into cutter-ready PDFs with a proper CutContour spot color, so cutting software recognizes the cut paths immediately. You can use it via the simple web UI or automate it through the API. Curious to hear how others handle CutContour files in their workflow!
