Hey Product Hunt 👋 I fly DCS World. Every sortie used to end the same way: get shot down, open the Tacview recording, and watch myself die again from a slightly better angle. You can always see what happened. You still don't know why. That gap is the whole reason Specter exists. You drop in an ACMI recording and it finds the engagement for you — launches, merges, kills, overshoots, defensive breaks — then rebuilds it in 3D over real terrain. That last part matters more than it sounds: "why did I die" is very often a terrain answer. The ridge was masking him. It wasn't masking you. Then it does the analysis nobody wants to do by hand: Kill Chain — detect → track → engage for every shot. Was the geometry ever actually there, or was it settled two minutes before the missile left the rail? Threat Map — where you were genuinely visible to that SAM, measured against real elevation What-If — change one decision and replay the geometry Written after-action reports you can paste straight into your squadron's Discord What changed while building it: I assumed the hard part would be rendering. It wasn't — it was deciding what to show. Different questions need genuinely different views, which is how it ended up with 27 of them. The sharpest lesson came from a user, not from me. Someone reported that live recording "only captured the last 15 seconds of the fight." They were right. The replay was being rebuilt from a rolling memory buffer instead of the session. Now every frame streams to disk from the first packet, and it'll repair a damaged install too. It's Windows-only, DCS-only for now (Falcon BMS is next), one-time purchase, and it activates offline no account, no server that can be switched off later. I'd genuinely like to hear what you'd want it to answer that it currently doesn't.
