Underwater-capable! It's sunglasses. Have fun swimming underwater with SUNGLASSES.
true I'm worried they might fall off and I won't see haha
water resistant for use in "shallow water" as described in the FAQ. Basicaly go underwater at your own risk it seems like.

As others have mentioned, would be great if they worked outside of Snap

Pros:

One of the few ways to get "as you see it" footage instantly.

Cons:

You look like a nut

Do my spectacles come with these very attractive friends? Perhaps that would justify is 150$ price tag
I feel like people totally underestimate how good these are for documenting if you use Snapchat regularly. Loved my first pair, already ordered these!
What a miss on launch timing- 1) Would have imagined aligning with their market of influencers and positioning an announcement and use at Coachella or a major event would have been more impacful; especially for sunglasses 2) partnership with a glasses designer or brand would get more traction/ twice the market share (if raising the price slightly). Is it meant for the style/design to be distinctively "Snapchat"?

Could be funny to use product whenever, its possible to use with any app.

Pros:

Unique product. Looks cool.

Cons:

Snapchat only support.

It is an upgrade, the price is reasonable, and the features are decent for the price. I just can't get over the look.
Though they look a lot less goofy than wearing a GoPro on a headstrap.
That's very true but that's not the competition in terms of look. The competition is from Luxottica's brands: Oakly, Ray Ban, etc...
Amazing! I've been using the v1 Spectacles for 2 years now (was lucky to receive) and I've been loving them. Underwater support is killer and I'm able to buy them right now in the UK. Super excited to try these out...
I've used V1 of Spectacles a few times a week since they debuted. Spectacles are the easiest way to record a spontaneous moment while experiencing it. GoPros are much, much higher quality, though just tapping Spectacles is so easy. Here's a montage I made in 1 year of owning Spectacles: If Instagram wants to create a solid competitor, they should buy GoPro and leverage their camera tech.
The thing most people seem to miss is that they are really high quality sunglasses too. I bought mine when I thought I lost my Ray-Bans and it comes with awesome camera too :) Used a lot at the beginning and coincidentally a lot lately – tons of fun. Wish it had higher resolution for photos and synced with the Camera roll directly or ideally with instagram :)
