Sound of Sliver - Do you know the song in under 300ms? A game for the hardcore

by
You get ten songs, each starting as a 300ms sliver. The faster you guess, the more points you keep. Guess wrong and you get more of the song, but you lose points. It's free and full of music puns, starting with the name. I made it look like our favorite old player that's no longer with us

I got the idea from Switched On Pop. They were basically playing this on the show, and one of the hosts could not get "Fantasy." I was in the car yelling at my phone. Figured it'd make a fun game.

  • Daily game with leaderboards, new playlist every morning

  • A whole library of genres to dig through — 80s, 90s, hip-hop, indie, and way more

  • Survivor mode: one stake, see how many you can name before the points run out

  • Share your score as an emoji grid, like Wordle

  • Free, no login, and it looks like the old click-wheel player we all miss

It's free. I made it look like our favorite old player, the one that's no longer with us. It's stupidly full of music puns, starting with the name. Tell me what's broken.

Love how the 300ms start forces you to trust your gut instead of overthinking, and the wheel pick keeps each round feeling fresh instead of just another quiz loop.

 thanks! I wanted it to be fast and a little stressful. Please up vote. ;}

The sliver concept is honestly really clever, that 300ms tease gets your brain scrambling to place it fast. Tried it on the 90s playlist and got totally stumped on one, which just made me want to go again.

  Thank you! Feel free to share and upvote.

honestly love the concept and the throwback design is such a nice touch. one thing i'd really appreciate is a way to challenge a friend directly with a shared link, kind of like wordle's share but where we both play the same set of slivers at the same time and see who scores higher. would make it way more social and honestly probably bring me back daily.

  There's a leaderboard and the share via message, with all the stats, do they do anything else special?
