Sotto floats over your calls, transcribes both sides, answers questions mid-meeting and writes notes when you stop. It runs on the Apple Intelligence already in your Mac, so there's no subscription, no cloud and no models to download. Open source.

Hey PH 👋 I built Sotto because my Mac already has a speech model and a 3B language model that nobody uses, while meeting copilots charge $20/month (more for "stealth") and send your calls to their servers.

Sotto uses only what Apple ships: 2.06% word error rate on LibriSpeech, first word of an answer in 0.4 s, notes in about 5 s. 0.8 MB, MIT licensed.

What it won't do (yet): tell apart the other speakers, or think as hard as GPT. Windows is next, via the on-device model in Copilot+ PCs.
