Hi Product Hunt! 👋 I'm Tarik, the solo developer behind Somnos. There are hundreds of texts, sources, and famous figures in history who have written about dreams. Psychology has explored it deeply too. But usually, when you search on Google, you get very simple, shallow answers that lack any real depth. I built an AI for those who are genuinely curious about the true meaning of their dreams. To prevent AI hallucinations, I loaded it with hundreds of specific historical and psychological sources and instructed it to work only from those texts. When you log a dream, a randomized council of thinkers and psychologists interprets it based strictly on these sources. If you're curious about what people in the past would say, you can also get a theological interpretation. The engine includes thinkers from all religions: Islam, Judaism, Christianity, Hindu monks... even obscure cult leaders you wouldn't normally think of.
