Your docs are in the sales meeting you never get invited to

by•

Here's the shift I keep noticing: buyers now vet products through ChatGPT and Perplexity before they ever hit your contact form. Forrester found most of them lean on AI for the purchase, and a lot build the internal case there. Whatever the AI says about you comes straight off your docs.

The uncomfortable part is the lag. If your pricing changed in March and your knowledge base caught up in June, the shortlist saw the old you. The AI describes a company that no longer exists, and you never find out you were even in the running.

That reframes documentation from a support cost into a real market channel — one almost nobody audits. It's a genuine AI business opportunity hiding in plain sight: a tool that checks what AI actually says about a product versus what's true.

I built SoloVault to surface exactly these kinds of overlooked openings for solo makers.

Have you ever asked an AI about your own product? What did it get wrong?
