Building the product was the easy part. Selling it is where I keep getting stuck.
I've talked to a bunch of founders in the same spot: solid B2B product, zero marketing instinct, and no clue which advice online is real versus paid promotion. Half the YouTube tactics only worked because someone had a budget the rest of us don't have. Cold email, cold DMs — sure, if you can afford the volume.
What keeps coming up is this idea of chasing intent signals: people online mentioning a problem you solve, then reaching out while they're actually thinking about it. The logic is great. The tooling around it is either "book a call first" gatekeeping or straight-up slop.
That gap is exactly why I started building SoloVault — reading early market signals and turning them into something a solo maker can act on without a sales team.
How did you land your first ten customers when you had no budget and no sales background?
