AI is really good at telling you your idea sounds great. That's the problem.
Ask a chatbot about anything you're considering building and it'll cheerlead. Nice market, clear pain, go for it. What it almost never does is surface the assumptions your idea quietly depends on — the two or three things that have to be true or the whole thing falls apart.
So I've been trying to flip that. Instead of "does this sound good," the better question is "what would have to be true, and is there any evidence it actually is?" Then figure out the cheapest test to check the shakiest assumption first.
That's part of what I'm building into SoloVault — less validation theater, more pointing you at the specific thing you don't know yet. It's meant to help find and pressure-test startup ideas before you sink a weekend into them.
When you're weighing an idea, what's the first assumption you try to kill?
