SolarDecision Australia - Is Solar Worth It in Australia

Hey everyone, I’m Jacob, the maker of SolarDecision. I built this because deciding whether to get solar and batteries for my own home turned out to be way harder than I expected. I spent a long time comparing quotes, trying to understand payback periods, feed-in tariffs, usage patterns, and whether a battery would actually save money. A lot of the information online either felt too generic or too focused on selling. I wanted something that could answer the simple question I originally had myself: “Is solar actually worth it for my home?” So I built SolarDecision. It helps Australians estimate solar savings, payback periods, and battery suitability using household energy usage, property insights, and AI-powered analysis. The goal isn’t to convince everyone to buy solar. Sometimes the answer may even be “not yet.” I mainly wanted to build a tool that helps people make more informed decisions without needing weeks of research.
