Social Valley - Web Platform - Turning moments into real world value

by
A new way to turn moments into real-world value. Social media turned us into spectators. Social Valley makes you a participant. Social Valley reimagines social media by giving people a reason to show up, for their friends, their community, and their city. No doom scrolling and isolation, just community, creativity, and real rewards. Post, go live, discover events, join a community, and challenge your friends to win real rewards. Goodbye, Silicon Valley. Hello Social Valley.

I would like to thank my loved ones, for all the feedback and support! The constant over conceptualizing, planning, tends to get in your head and the support really does help in processing things. I want to also thank other founders, I would read their stories and words, thinking "Oh, I already know this info!", but in reality I haven't put in really put in the "work" to really come to the understanding of their words. From the past 2 years of building the tendency or natural instincts to approach outcomes/paths always takes over whether it's planning, not planning enough, not everything is linear, but everything tends to sort itself out... Wrapping up this spiel, we're constantly handed the answer and it's really just a matter of doing honestly, no matter what you'll over plan, under-plan, over think, think too much and it's completely normal that's apart of growing... I made a blog post discussing the journey ↓

The friend challenges are a nice touch, way more fun than just posting into the void. Liked that events are actually tied to your city instead of random generic meetups.

Thank you!! That means a lot. I really wanted to build something that felt alive and tied to you

The events feature actually feels useful, not just another feed to scroll. Posted a quick clip from a local meetup and got rewarded, which is a nice twist on the usual grind.

This is exactly why we built it! Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

One thing that would make me stick around is a built-in split feature for group rewards, like when you and three friends win a challenge together you can divide payouts right in the app without Venmo-ing each other. Right now I'm guessing you have to handle that yourself which kills the momentum after the win.

Happy you brought that up! We actually support that. You can create private groups where only your friends can join, host events exclusively for that group, and if there's a team payout, the winnings are automatically split between the winners no need to Venmo anyone afterward.
