Working on a Snow Day Calculator — launching September 25

Hey everyone!

I’ve been working on a Snow Day Calculator for the upcoming winter season and wanted to get some thoughts on the idea before I launch it.

The goal is to make snow day predictions more useful than just looking at the expected snow amount. It will use the hourly weather forecast for your area, especially the early morning hours from around 3 AM to 7 AM. It will also look at things like snow, black ice, wind and extreme cold.

Another thing I’m working on is making the prediction more location-specific. The same amount of snow can have a very different impact depending on where you live, so the calculator will take local conditions into account.

It will work for both the US and Canada and users will be able to enter their ZIP or postal code to get a prediction for their area.

I’d love to hear what you guys think about the idea.
