sucks that despite how hard snapchat tries to be innovative, and all the while focuses on improvements to the code that makes the app feel like a breeze, there's always a crappy copycat waiting to imitate their every move in a shallow way just to eliminate the competition.. glad that snapchat always brews something magical up their sleeve and still manages to survive

This has been tried so many times, but most have been stand-alone products rather than added features. So let's see if Snap can make it work.

How's the battery life doing for people since the update?

Very cool way of seeing what's happening in your area and around the world. I can definitely see Facebook trying to copy this, as their mission is to "connect the world" and Snap Map does that much better than Facebook does.

Design-wise, it looks like garbage in my opinion. But that's probably because Bitmoji makes me want to vomit in my mouth every time I see it.

weird - looks like another update on iOS was pushed just now. I had Snap Map and now I don't. Says 'Map Unavailable'
