SmartTix - Smart seat maps with gap management that kills orphan seats.

by
SmartTix solves orphan seats — those single empty gaps between groups that never sell, costing venues 10-15% of capacity. Our gap management algorithm blocks selections that would create unsellable gaps, recovering ~14% of lost occupancy. Embeddable Web Component: 3 lines of code, any framework. Visual drag-and-drop designer. Real-time sync via SignalR. Full REST API. Free forever: 1 venue, 500 seats. Paid plans €29-199/mo flat — no per-ticket fees. 60-day trial, no card.

Hey everyone — I’m the solo developer behind SmartTix. I’ve been building software for 20+ years, mostly in the enterprise ticketing space. The idea came from a real pain point. I was working on a ticketing platform and realized we were losing 10-15% of venue capacity to orphan seats — those awkward single gaps between groups that nobody buys. Every venue manager I talked to had the same problem, and the existing tools either ignored it completely or were way too expensive for small and mid-size venues. I wanted to build something that solves the hard problem (gap management) while keeping the pricing honest — flat monthly rate, no per-ticket tax on your revenue. A small theater should be able to afford a proper seating system. I built the whole thing on .NET 8 and Angular 19 because that’s what I know best after two decades. The gap management algorithm went through about 15 iterations before I was happy with it. The free tier is permanent and real — 1 venue, 500 seats. Enough for a small theater to run their entire operation. Would love your feedback. What features would matter most to you in a seating engine?
