@SlapChan can i control the combos gifs too?
@sahil_hansaΒ yes you can, you can also set shuffle mode on off for gifs and voices both
would love a sensitivity slider so light taps still register without me accidentally triggering overlays when i just set the laptop down on a desk. right now it feels like i have to really commit to a slap for anything to happen, which kinda kills the casual tap-to-react vibe.
@brendendil31604Β Hey Brenden! Thanks for the feedback. While we don't have a continuous slider in the menu bar, we do have sensitivity presets built in!
If you click the SlapChan icon in your menu bar, go to the Sensitivity submenu, and select High, it lowers the acceleration threshold to 0.20g (default is 0.40g at Medium). This should let you trigger the reactions with very soft, casual taps. Give that a try and let me know if it captures that tap-to-react vibe better!
would love to see a per-app sensitivity slider so i can turn it up while gaming but keep it low at work without disabling it entirely. also maybe a quick mute hotkey for when i'm on calls
@halit1279079Β Hey Halit! These are absolutely brilliant suggestions. we currently have option just to quit oe set sensivity. we would work on it
Quick mute hotkey: This is a lifesaver (especially when you're on a Zoom call and accidentally bump your desk π). I've added a global mute shortcut to the top of our queue for the next update.
Per-app sensitivity/auto-mute: This is an awesome idea. Since sensitivity is currently managed via presets (Low/Medium/High) in the menu bar, we are looking into adding a "Focus Mode" that automatically silences the app or sets it to Low sensitivity when work apps (like Zoom, Teams, or Slack) are active, and lets you go wild on High when gaming.
Thanks for the stellar feedback!
Does it actually filter out normal typing or trackpad taps so it only fires on intentional slaps, or will I be triggering overlays every time I lean on the desk?
@berkkalpcqbtdΒ Hey Berk! Great question. Yes, we specifically engineered it to filter those out.
The app passes raw 100 Hz sensor data through a high-pass filter (0.5 Hz cutoff) to strip out slow movements (like leaning on the desk) and the micro-vibrations from typing or trackpad clicks. Unless you are typing with aggressive force, it won't trigger.
You can also swap between Low, Medium, and High presets in the menu bar Sensitivity menu to find the perfect threshold for your desk setup!
@slapchan Try out slapchan Now. Can be Used to Prank Out with freinds too. create and post reels out on socials with #slapchan now
the haptic feedback mapping feels genuinely polished, like someone actually sat there tuning the response curves until each slap landed just right. respect for that kind of detail.
