genius, you've inspired me. āœØšŸ™ I'll play around with some concepts this weekend.

Culture-building, one Slack emoji at a time. šŸ™ŒšŸ™‡šŸ’Æ
One of those ideas that so obvious in hindsight. Suspect we'll see a lot of other services follow suit.
I didn't work on this but have been testing it on the internal Slack since joining and have found it super useful and interesting and fun. We're all really curious to see how the world reacts to it. Will it be with a šŸ˜€ or a 😱 or a šŸ˜? Submit your own reaction below.

Like I said on Twitter, can we stop reposting products each time one gets a new feature? Isn't the point of this site to feature new products? This is obviously cool, but I feel it's not part of the scope of PH.
good feedback. There's a fine line between "new feature" and "product" that will always be subjective. Our goal is to build a system that allows the community to decide what's worthy of attention and in this particular case, it seems to be getting enough love to warrant a new post.
I think this is sneakily a somewhat innovative product feature, which is part of why people in the PH community have given it so much love. I'm guessing we'll see many more messaging apps incorporate something similar in the months/years to come.
Love feature! :) Can you add reactions to messages without an existing reaction on mobile? I only see ways to add/vote on reactions if one already exists (from iOS app)?
Well done. I think you might have just broke the internet. Or at least it's productivity.... šŸ˜
You'll be surprised how much this ends up helping productivity.
Just to say to the people who like to trivialise emoji and GIFs (which make up a large part of our Slack channels), both of them are essential bits of non-verbal communication. I'm glad to see Slack catering to that usage pattern here.
Absolutely brilliant idea, well done.
Amazing. Simply Amazing.
