I wanted to share my journey of building my first mobile app, SkinAssist.
The Motivation:
My wife was constantly juggling between different skincare apps, none of which quite met her needs. Instead of suggesting another app, I decided to build one tailored to her requirements.

- AI-powered skincare recommendations
- Customizable skincare routines
- Ingredient analysis and breakdown
- Progress tracking
- Real-time AI chat support
- Face Scanner
Tech Stack:
- React Native
- Node.js (nestjs) backend
- OpenAI for chat features
The app is now live on the App Store, and I'd love to get feedback from the community. It's been a wild ride from being a pure backend developer to shipping a full-featured mobile app.

@ajay27324 It’s not easy to cover the entire skincare industry, but we’re constantly expanding our database. Right now, we have a limited product range, but we’re adding around 100 new products daily, so the coverage is growing fast!
