SikkerGuard - A free guardian that blocks malicious IPs at the kernel.

by
SikkerGuard is SikkerAPI’s newest product release, a Docker container that pulls the SikkerAPI threat blacklist and blocks known malicious IPs at the kernel level using iptables and ipset. It runs alongside your services with zero config beyond an API key, auto-whitelists your gateway/DNS/LAN to prevent lockouts, logs blocked connections in real time, and rolls back if connectivity breaks. Works with the free plan and reports blocked IPs back to your dashboard.

Hey Product Hunt 👋 I’m the founder of SikkerAPI, a free IP reputation and threat intelligence provider built on a custom globally distributed high-interaction honeypot network. Today we’re launching SikkerGuard. SikkerGuard is a Docker container that blocks known malicious IPs from the SikkerAPI database directly at the kernel level using iptables and ipset. The idea is simple: stop bad traffic before it ever touches your services. Best of all, it's entirely free, all you need is a free API key which can be generated after you create an account at https://dashboard.sikkerapi.com/... It’s built for homelabs, bare metal servers, VPS users, and small operators who want real network-level protection without complex firewall setups. Zero-config. Real-time block logging. Atomic list updates. Automatic rollback safety. You choose the confidence threshold; block only the highest-confidence threats or go broader. Can't wait to get you guys feedback!
