SignalTabs - A calm new tab workspace for people who live in tabs

by
SignalTabs turns your new tab page into a calm workspace for people who live in tabs. It groups open tabs by domain, highlights duplicates, lets you save useful pages for later, and restores recently closed tabs from Archive. You can also search tabs, saved pages, bookmarks, and history from any page. Local-first, no account required.

Hey Product Hunt, I built SignalTabs because my browser kept turning into a pile of half-finished context: GitHub PRs, docs, ChatGPT threads, duplicate pages, and “I’ll read this later” tabs all mixed together. SignalTabs replaces the new tab page with a calm workspace that makes this context readable again. It groups open tabs by domain, surfaces duplicates, lets you save useful pages for later, and keeps closed tabs recoverable from Archive. One detail I care a lot about: search works from any page. Press your shortcut and you can find open tabs, saved pages, bookmarks, and history without first going back to the dashboard. It’s local-first, requires no account, and does not upload your tab data by default. I’d love feedback from heavy browser users: what part of your tab workflow still feels messy, risky, or hard to trust?

SignalTabs launched on Product Hunt yesterday.

The most interesting feedback so far: people don’t just want fewer tabs. They want to feel safe closing tabs because they can still find or restore what matters.

That’s exactly what I’m building toward: a calmer browser workspace for people who live in tabs.

If your Chrome is usually full of 20+ tabs, I’d love your feedback:
