Sidekick - One AI companion. Any model. All your tools.

by
Sidekick is a personal AI companion that connects your chosen AI with the tools you use every day — email, calendar, notes, tasks and more. Talk or type to it, get text or voice responses, and choose how present your Sidekick feels. Built-in AI is included, or connect GPT, Claude, Gemini and 300+ models through OpenRouter. You control its tools, permissions and AI.

Hey Product Hunt 👋 I'm Ricardo, the founder and builder behind Sidekick. The idea for Sidekick started with a frustration I kept having with AI. My AI was in one place. My email was somewhere else. My calendar was another app. My tasks and notes were scattered across different tools. And every time I wanted help, I had to find the right app, copy context across, explain myself again, and then manually take the answer and actually do something with it. I kept asking myself: **What if I just had one AI companion I could talk to?** One that could understand my context, connect to the tools I choose, and help me actually get things done. That became Sidekick. You can type to your Sidekick or speak to it. It can respond with text and voice, and you can even choose to have its animated face present if you want a more companion-like experience. But the bigger idea is what happens underneath. Sidekick is model-agnostic. Built-in AI is available without needing an API key, or you can bring your own AI — including GPT, Claude, Gemini and 300+ models through OpenRouter. Then you connect the tools you want Sidekick to work with. Email. Calendar. Notes. Tasks. And more as we continue building. You decide what it can access and what it is allowed to do. The vision is simple: **One companion. Any AI model. All your tools. Your rules.** Sidekick is still early, and I'm building it very much in public. I'd genuinely love feedback from the Product Hunt community — particularly on one question: **What's the first tool or app you would want your personal AI Sidekick connected to?** Thanks for checking out Sidekick 💙 — Ricardo

well done on the launch! I just tried and already love a few things: 1. It sent me a brief with a summary of my unread emails, created two tasks (that were literally on point) and also planned my day by checking my calendar and weather etc. I havent tried half of the tools and integrations so ill pop back in here once ive had more time to explore. Well done again!

Thanks Pedro, appreciate the support and for sharing your experience here.

thank you Pedro, appreciate the feedback.

congrats on your launch of - i signed up and connected my microsoft 365 and notion in a few clicks and already had my sidekick organise some documents for me. I love that i dont need to switch between tabs or apps now. Any other tools you are introducing soon? An intergration with hubspot would be great.

thank you for sharing your experience so far. Hubspot integration coming soon - like really soon!

thanks Teresa. Appreciate the support and the awesome feedback. Hubspot integration coming soon.

i love sidekick! I tried the free trial with all the pro features and couldnt help but feeling like i had to support you! What you have built is incredible and in just a few minutes of using sidekick i cant imagine working like i was before (opening 5 tabs to what sidekick does with one prompt lol)

thanks so much Nerissa. Appreciate the feedback and kind words. I noticed you also asked about "Contacts" on another thread. We are adding this feature in today. #wemovefast

Love how you made the permission controls granular but kept the interface clean enough that it doesn't feel like setting up a security policy. The voice toggle for how "present" Sidekick feels is a really thoughtful touch.

thank you for the feedback and kind words. I'd like to gift you 30 days of PRO for free. Let me know if you are interested. Thanks again for the comment and feedback :)

finally tried sidekick this morning and setting it up to read my calendar and draft replies in one go felt way smoother than i expected, voice response worked nicely too.

awesome to hear and thanks for sharing this feedback with us.
