Shipcast - Finish a podcast episode in one click

by•
Shipcast automates the podcast finishing pass: it assembles your intro, outro and mid-roll ads around each new recording with crossfades, normalizes loudness to EBU R128 and exports an ID3-tagged MP3. One click per episode instead of the same 45 minutes of editing every week. Free plan: 2 episodes/month.

I'm the developer. My episodes were 95% identical every week — same intro, same crossfades, mid-roll in the same spot, outro, normalize to −16 LUFS, export, fill in tags. The only new thing each week was the recording. So Shipcast is deliberately narrow: it only does the finishing pass. You build one template per show (segment order, crossfade lengths, mid-roll positions at a fraction of the episode or a fixed timestamp, target LUFS), and each week you upload the raw recording and get back an EBU R128-normalized MP3 with ID3 tags filled in. It doesn't record, doesn't host, isn't a timeline editor — keep your recorder (Riverside, Descript, a DAW) and your host. Tech: the audio engine is a Rust CLI wrapping ffmpeg, fully streaming, so memory use doesn't change with episode length. Pricing: free does 2 episodes/month on 1 show; Solo €19/mo or €190/yr unlimited on 1 show; Pro €39/mo or €390/yr, 3 shows. Happy to answer anything — especially what's on your finishing checklist that this isn't covering.
