Hi Product Hunt! 👋 I’m one of the makers of ShiftMate. ShiftMate started back in 2011 with a very simple idea: nurses needed an easier way to manage rotating shifts. A normal calendar works well for appointments, but shift work is different. Nurses need to see Day, Evening, Night, Off, personal plans, reminders, and often their coworkers’ schedules at the same time. Over the years, ShiftMate has grown based on feedback from people actually working shifts. Recently, we made one of our biggest updates yet. ShiftMate now works across: - iPhone - iPad - Android phones - Android tablets Your schedule stays synced across devices, so you can quickly check a shift on your phone and manage the whole month on a larger tablet screen. We’ve also added features such as: - D / E / N / Off and custom shift types - personal schedules and notes - shift alarms - real-time coworker shift sharing - home screen widgets - monthly and yearly shift statistics - customizable colors, emojis, and layouts One thing we learned while building ShiftMate is that supporting tablets isn’t just about stretching a phone UI onto a bigger screen. A monthly shift calendar becomes a very different product when there is enough room to see work, personal plans, coworkers, and notes together. We’re continuing to improve ShiftMate for nurses as well as other people who work rotating schedules.
