In the early 2000s, I was part of a doomed semiconductor startup that vaporized 128M USD building a product nobody wanted. Eventually, the money ran out and we were left to face our uncertain future. It took me years to understand what had happened, and during that time, I built a successful artisan coffee roastery where I could work with my hands and, of course, write some code. Fast forward a decade – I discovered Eric Ries' The Lean Startup and finally understood our failure in 2001. It turned out we had simply, and perhaps naively, built a product that nobody wanted – a common occurrence, not only in the tech industry but across all sectors, including the food industry. You've probably heard the statistic: over 80% of businesses fail. This is often because they don't start their product design journey by understanding what it is that consumers actually want to buy. Instead, entrepreneurs often develop products they want to build. Two drastically different things. I've witnessed a plethora of examples: unnecessary cafes, lackluster brand ideas, poorly resonating social causes, and the list goes on. So, I set out to create a platform that enables entrepreneurs to develop, validate, and find success with their businesses and products at every stage. That's where Sharehaus.coffee comes in. Sharehaus.coffee is an eCommerce platform that helps you validate business ideas and products with minimal risk, all while generating profit. Clients can create their own coffee and lifestyle brands from the comfort of their homes at a fraction of the cost, using sophisticated tools like A/B testing to validate their business, products, and brand without any risk – all thanks to our Lean, Pull-Style production. After working on this platform for nearly three years, we've gained a wealth of validate knowledge. With that knowledge has come the understanding that this approach may become the future of all manufacturing and commercial endeavors for important reasons. By creating products only when requested by market demand and shipping them once, we drastically reduce their carbon footprint – a goal the world desperately needs.
