Something I've been thinking about as we're about to launch PostGod:
Most founders treat personal branding as "nice to have" while treating product development as "must have." However, investors, early customers, and potential hires check your LinkedIn before they engage with your product.
I was building a tool to analyse SEC filings and kept hitting the same problem. The AI would summarise a 10-K and invent revenue figures. Not close. Wrong. Confidently wrong.
So I split the job. Financial figures come directly from the SEC's XBRL structured data feeds. The AI reads the text and flags red flags. It never touches a number.
Hi, fellow builders. It s been months of fine tuning and over a year of experimentation but I think I ve finally solved burnout for actors and models self-submitting to casting calls. I built CastingNinja. It automates discovery and submission to casting calls for acting gigs, commercials, modeling jobs, and more. I built this out of necessity and wanted to share my passion project with the world. Help us out and check out my launch!
Just launched TradeWise today and would love your feedback!
I built this because I was a trader who kept losing money without understanding why. Spreadsheets and basic journals told me what happened but never why.
A few months ago, I made a GitHub repo listing SaaS directories to help founders find places to launch and build SEO backlinks. It received great feedback, but browsing a markdown file and opening PRs to submit a new directory is annoying, especially for non-tech folks.
You read. You nod. You move on. Nothing sticks. Two weeks later, that "insight" you were excited about? Gone. You might as well have scrolled past a meme.
We've convinced ourselves that capturing information is the same as learning it. It is not. It is the illusion of productivity.
