Yet another personal expense tracker...

Of course not! To be fair, the first unpublished version of the app probably was.

But this is the third iteration, and I wanted it to be genuinely different, starting from its name: platypus.cash. The platypus is a weird animal. So is this app.

The core idea is simple: your income gets automatically allocated across categories based on your own priorities and rules. So there's no manual sorting, and no willpower required.

Upcoming features include running multiple financial scenarios side by side, and scrolling back and forward in time to see future projections based on your current habits.

Everything is end-to-end encrypted. Given the sensitivity of financial data, I'm honestly surprised this isn't an industry standard.

The trade-off: no AI features. That's a deliberate choice. AI already knows enough about me, it doesn't need to know how I spend my money too.

Beta opens this summer. I'm looking for early adopters. If that sounds interesting, follow me here or join the waitlist.
