Why do so many faith & habit apps become overwhelming?
I've been thinking about this lately.
Many apps start with a simple goal—help people build better habits—but after a while they become packed with features, subscriptions, notifications, and distractions. Instead of helping, they often add more noise.
So I tried a different approach and built SabrTime.
It's a free Islamic companion focused on helping Muslims stay consistent with their daily worship without unnecessary complexity.
Some of the features include:
- 🕌 Accurate Prayer Times
- 🧭 Qibla Compass
- 📿 Digital Tasbeeh
- 🤲 200+ Duas from the Quran & Sunnah
- 📖 Quran Reading Tracker
- 🔥 Prayer & Ibadah Streaks
- 🌙 Islamic Calendar
- 😊 Mood-based Duas
- 🧠 Islamic Quiz
I'm still improving it based on community feedback, so I'd love to hear your thoughts.
Question for makers: When building habit-focused apps, how do you decide which features genuinely help users and which ones just create more complexity?
If you'd like to take a look, you can try SabrTime here:
I'd really appreciate your feedback—positive or critical. Every suggestion helps make the app better.
