Why a pixel mushroom, and why is it so gentle?
Wellness apps love streaks, and streaks love guilt. I wanted the opposite.
Mushroom's mood goes a little droopy if you've been ignoring it through a busy stretch. It never dies, never scolds, and never takes anything away. One click on the small recover button and it's happy again. Buttons on notifications are just Done, Snooze, or Skip, and Skip means "not this time", not "stop forever".
The art is crisp pixel art, scaled only in whole steps (1x, 2x, 3x) so every pixel stays sharp on your screen. It's draggable anywhere, and hiding it never stops your reminders. It keeps running quietly in the menu bar.
What would make a desktop pet feel like company instead of clutter to you?
