What is the best way to get user feedback before launch?

by

Hello Friends,

I struggle with getting legitimate feedback on a new concept before trying to take it to market. I don't want to launch the product before all of the small issues are worked out or any legitimate feedback is provided. For instance, I just built this micro-product for personal use but I feel like it could be useful to others and maybe eventually launch on product hunt.

However, I don't want to even consider that before getting feedback. I've tried friends and family but those aren't the most reliable for getting honest true feedback. Where do you go pre-launch for feedback and how do you collect this data?

The url for my micro product is: https://myplanstoday.com . It is of course free, you just have to verify your email address. Any feedback on where you have acquired test users, even if it's a paid service would be most helpful.

Regards,

I have relied heavily on my LinkedIn network for this. The key is to talk to connections that maybe know you, but don’t have a personal relationship with you so can give you the honest feedback you require. I am also framing the discussions as talking about their pain points vs showing a demo of the product. Hope this helps!
